Roberto R. Bustamante Wastewater Treatment Plant Headworks Improvements

MGC performed preconstruction phase services from 0% to final design and is currently performing construction services. Critical elements to this wastewater treatment plant include a fifty-two feet deep lift station and live tie-ins to the plant’s 108” influent sewer main at a depth of 42 feet. Temporary bypass pumping of the influent is required to maintain normal plant treatment operations throughout all construction phases. Improvements and expansions to the headworks facility include six 350 HP pumps, multi-rake bar screens, screening conveyors, washer compactors, aerated grit basins, grit pumping, dewatering, and bio trickling odor control filters.
